Big Easy Challenge

Nestled on the banks of the majestic Mississippi River, New Orleans is one of the United States' most mesmerizing cities. Its Old World European charm, rich cultural fabric and intriguing history have made it one of the world's top travel destinations, world-class cuisine and inspired jazz notwithstanding.

The nickname “The Big Easy” comes from the city’s history of jazz and was the name of a dance hall in the early 1900s. Now...it’s the name of Trip Sports’ newest event! The Big Easy Challenge will welcome participants each December, just after the Christmas holiday. Teams will spend five nights in New Orleans before traveling home on New Year’s Day. Like all Trip Sports’ events, each team will receive two contests in the event.

Participants of the event will stay at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel. The Hilton is a full service luxury complex, with all rooms in the Riverside Building have undergone a complete redesign and include features such as walk‐in showers, LCD flat‐screen TV’s, in‐room safes, oversized lounge chairs, and efficient workstations.

While staying at the Hilton, all your shopping, dining, and entertainment options are only steps away. Riverwalk Marketplace is located at the hotel’s doorstep and features over 100 shopping and dining options.

New Orleans’ finest restaurants and major attractions are also nearby. Harrah’s Casino, the Aquarium of the Americas, IMAX Theatre, and Jackson Square are samples of the diverse attractions in New Orleans that you can walk to. In addition, the French Quarter and all its history and architecture are just three blocks away.
