Join us in Fort Lauderdale, just before the Christmas holiday, for the Cruzin Classic—a premier basketball event that offers the perfect blend of competitive play and warm-weather relaxation. With 25 years of experience, Trip Sports handles all the logistics to provide a hassle-free experience for your team. Enjoy temperatures averaging 80° to 85°, making this the ideal destination to compete in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.
Upon arrival at the local airport, we take care of your transportation to the official hotel. Conveniently located, the hotel is within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, pharmacies, and even the beach (a short Uber ride away). Everything you need is right at your doorstep.
Game and practice venues are located at nearby colleges and universities. Your package includes all necessary ground transportation to and from these venues, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for your team.
This year, we’re introducing the Top 40 Brackets, an exclusive opportunity for the best teams to compete against each other, strengthening their schedule and boosting their playoff positioning. For teams of all rankings, we also offer the Open Brackets, providing a chance for additional competition in a high-level environment.
EVENT DATES
The dates listed are for our standard four-night trips. However, many teams choose to add an extra day or two after the games are complete. NOTE: Two date options are available for NCAA Div. III women’s teams.

GAME INFORMATION
Starting in 2025-26, the Cruzin Classic offers two formats. The Top 40 Brackets are structured as four-team tournaments, while the Open Brackets are classic style scheduling (pre-scheduled games).
Teams must qualify for the Top 40 Brackets. For more information on qualifying and other details of the Top 40 Bracket – CLICK HERE.
No qualification necessary for the Open Brackets.
The Cruzin Classic is open to men’s and women’s teams that compete in:
- NCAA Div. III
- NAIA
OFFICIAL HOTEL
The Hilton Lauderdale Marina is the official hotel for the Cruzin Classic. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, shopping, and the beach.
COMPETITION FACILITY
Located approximately 30 minutes from the official hotel, the Fernandez Family Center on the campus of St. Thomas University is the official competition site for the Cruzin Classic.
